JAMES MONROE, OUR FIFTH PRESIDENT, DREW LINES IN THE SAND NOT TO BE CROSSED / JOE BIDEN SAYS TO OUR ENEMIES COME ON IN AND TAKE WHAT YOU WANT
Vol. II | Issue. 113 | August 29, 2022
James Monroe, the Fifth President of the United States and the last President of the Founding Fathers, was the first American President that was not totally preoccupied with the mere survival of our fledgling nation.
All four of the Presidents who preceded him, Washington, Adams, Jefferson, and Madison, were there from the Declaration of Independence to the first shots fired at Concord, through the failed Articles of Confederation, and finally the formation and ratification of the Constitution. They all had visions of potential American greatness but were preoccupied with the survival of America from enemies both foreign and domestic.
Monroe, a brave, young, Revolutionary War Officer from a secondary Virginia planting family, learned at the foot of all four of his predecessors and held more offices than any President in American history. He was a delegate in the Virginia Assembly in 1782, a Virginia representative to the Congress of the Confederation in 1783, Virginia Senator in 1790, President Washington’s Minister to France in 1794, Governor of Virginia in 1799, President Jefferson’s Minister to Great Britain in 1803, and Secretary of State in 1811. Monroe’s military and civilian training made him ripe for the office of the Presidency when he was elected in 1820 as the only President to run unopposed, except for George Washington.
At the time of Monroe’s election, his predecessors through their vision, genius, blood, sweat, and tears, left America in a secure enough position that our 5th President could see a world where one-day America could LEAD, not just live.
Monroe was Thomas Jefferson’s Secretary of State and was responsible for bringing Thomas Jefferson’s “Louisiana Purchase” to fruition. That deal, which was probably the greatest real estate deal in history, doubled the size of America, gave us the most important navigable waterway in the world, i.e. “The Mighty Mississippi”, and created the vision for Monroe and others that America would someday be a WORLD POWER with a footprint that spanned the North American Continent from East to West. Monroe, ever the visionary, in anticipation of America’s future created massive public works that connected, such as canals and locks, attaching the vast interior to the rest of the nation.
President Monroe was ever cognizant of the threats that foreign powers posed in their continued attempts to influence and control the Sovereign States in the Western Hemisphere. Monroe, in his 7th Annual State of the Union Address, articulated that any intervention in the political affairs of the Americas by foreign powers was a potentially hostile act against the United States.
That statement became known as The Monroe Doctrine and was American Foreign Policy Gospel for the remainder of the 19th Century through the 20th Century with myriad adaptations to the realities of modern times. As the world became more complex in the 20th century, The Monroe Doctrine required tweaks allowing for the reality that America could not control the fate of Sovereign Nations in South America, but it could and must exert strong influence regarding dangerous foreign influence in our hemisphere.
In 1948, the Organization of American States, or OAS, was founded for the purpose of creating an arm of economic and cultural diplomacy that could influence and implement policies of economic cultural, and political solidarity for the promotion of capitalism and democracy.
In all of its changed and evolved forms, The Monroe Doctrine has been there since 1833 to promote the solidarity of the Americas against foreign interests that could do harm to our National Security.
That is until now…
The Marxist thrust of the Biden Administration, as well as that of his shadow boss, Barack Obama, have been indifferent to U.S. Security almost everywhere. Obama, with his embrace of Fidel Castro, Hugo Chavez, and other Marxist dictators, set the course for Biden’s embrace of all Dictators lording over myriad Dictatorships in the Western Hemisphere.
Biden not only sees no threat to this Marxist embrace, but with his “open border” policy, has aided and abetted the enemies of America not only to camp on our doorstep, but to physically enter our country. To the Biden regime, there is NO DISTINCTION AT THE BORDER between Terrorists, Drug Dealers, Sex Traffickers, and just anyone coming to America.
James Monroe, our 5th President, whose vision for a STRONG AMERICA was KEEP AMERICAN FREE from dangerous foreign influences in our hemisphere, and this was made clear through his eponymous "Monroe Doctrine"… To James the Fifth, there was a line in the sand that was not to be crossed. In other words, “Those who wish to do harm to America, stay in your own backyard.”
Flash forward to our President today
What does Joe say?…
“Come on in y'all and destroy our country!”
… My, how things have changed!
