SECRETARY GENERAL JENS STOLTENBERG / NATO'S IMBECILE-IN-CHIEF
Vol. II | Issue. 160 | April 24, 2023
“All Nato allies have agreed that Ukraine will become a member. President Zelenskiy has a very clear expectation, we discussed this. Both the issue of membership but also security guarantees, and of course Ukraine needs security. Because no one can tell when and how this war ends. But what we do know is that when the war ends, we need to ensure that history doesn’t repeat itself.”
- NATO Secretary General, Jens Stoltenberg
Barbara Tuchman, in her lucid masterpiece "The Guns of August" and its dissection of the cause of WWI, made it clear that Mutual Defense Treaties, which trigger guarantees that one nation is bound to support and defend war when another treaty signatory is attacked, paved the way to disastrous conflagration. That is not to say that the defense umbrella provided by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), which was and is a beard for the U.S., didn't make sense. It did, and in many ways, still does.
However, NATO was not formed to cause war; it was designed through America's vast powers of deterrence using both its nuclear and conventional military strength to deter the former Soviet Union from straying from its lane to keep the post-WWII lines of national demarcation intact. The realities on the ground of the post-war era were that Stalin could keep his Spoils of War, i.e., all of Eastern Europe, in slavery, as long as he didn’t mess with the Western Democracies.
The Soviet Communist counterpart defense umbrella created by Stalin was The Warsaw Pact. At the time, between the small nations that Stalin had gobbled up in the formation of the Soviet Union, and those that he conquered on his way to Berlin from the East during his vast role in conquering the Nazis, was where the NATO/Warsaw Pact line of demarcation was drawn. Of course, there was no moral equivalence between NATO and the Warsaw Pact, but for the purpose of this analysis that doesn't matter…
Ukraine was a conquered Soviet State, and before that, either a de facto part of Russia due to proximity and Russian might, relative to Ukrainian weakness. That said, Ukraine has been either fighting for or asserting its independence from Russia for over 1000 years and the Russian Bear has always considered Ukraine a natural part of its Empire.
In 1994, after the fall of the Soviet Union and as a part of the Budapest Accords, the brainchild of Bill Clinton and a few of the European "elites" wanting peace in our time, Ukraine was forced to give up its nuclear weapons in exchange for a tri-party protectorate of the US and Russia. Had these foolish, Nobel Prize-salivating imbeciles been more historically informed, this may never have happened. Russia would likely never have attacked Ukraine in February 2022 had Ukraine not been stripped of its nuclear capability. On March 13th, 2023, Bill Clinton admitted the horrible mistake that he had made in brokering the Budapest Accords leaving Ukraine to once again be gobbled up by the Russian Bear.
Now there is a new top fool in the game... His name is Jens Stoltenberg, Secretary-General of NATO. He is another fool in the wrong job who has, through his position as NATO Imbecile-in-Chief, announced that in order for "history not to repeat itself," Ukraine will become a member of NATO after she wins the war against Russia.
In regards to the first instance, this will likely be an endless war of attrition at best. Even with a "Negotiated Peace" Treaty creating a short or longer-term pause in this chapter of the Russo-Ukrainian conflict, the idea of them becoming a member of NATO is like placing Mexico under the Chinese Defense Umbrella. Clearly, the idea of Ukrainian Sovereignty should be a compelling concern to the West and, for that matter, the East. NATO support as a deterrence regarding territorial aggressions and gobbling up of Sovereign Nations is of paramount concern. Remember fools, China is watching…
That said, the Europeans should be the principal backers of these efforts - with help from America. NATO stands for "North Atlantic Treaty Organization".
Is Ukraine located in or near the "North Atlantic"?
Ukrainian’s NATO membership will be the next step toward WWIII… I'm pretty sure that if she were alive today, Barbara Tuckman would agree.
