SUNSET AT MAR-A-LAGO... THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE PRESIDENT TRUMP
Vol. II | Issue. 128 | November 21, 2022
Mar-a-Lago has become Donald Trump's Principality in Exile since he left office after the 2020 election. Completed in 1927, Mar-a-Lago was commissioned by and built for Marjorie Merriweather Post, the heiress to the Postum Cereal Company which eventually became General Foods Corporation through a series of mergers and acquisitions engineered by her and her second husband E.F. Hutton. Post, at one time, was the wealthiest woman in America and was known both for her business acumen and spectacular lifestyle. We will never know whether she would have approved of Donald Trump as her successor in ownership of one of America's most spectacular properties, but one thing is for sure… “The Donald” has made Mar-a-Lago a familiar name to everyone on the planet.
Sadly for the Ex-President, his life in political exile is likely to be permanent.
When I say, "Thank you for your Service Mr. President”, I mean it. It is likely that nobody could have accomplished capturing the 2016 Republican Presidential Nomination from the sclerotic, self-serving Republican Political establishment other than Donald Trump.
Trump's combination of effective and accurately dismissive nicknames for the “Forever Do Nothing” Candidates, who were his competitors, were strikingly accurate and conveyed underlying truths that were easily understood by his audience.
“Low-Energy” Jeb, accurately described the scion of America's most distinguished living political dynasty.
“Sleepy” Ben Carson accurately described the appearance and forensic demeanor of Carson (his eventual HUD Secretary) as another low-energy competitor.
The list went on and on throughout, and in 2016, the reductive Trump Sobriquets conveyed a direct, piercing sense of accuracy to voters seeking some form of serious, even radical, change. In 2016, despite the often offensive and insulting nature of his style, Trump accomplished something brilliant… His pejorative nicknames were substantive in that they delegitimized the legitimacy of the career politicians who had seats in government forever and accomplished nothing. They were all cautious middle-of-the-roaders who, even in positions of power and influence, did nothing to stop the Crisis at the Border, China Rip-Offs, complete acceptance of the Clinton/Obama Political/Cultural narratives about America’s Systemic Racism, and the Exporting of American Jobs, Trade, Military Secrets, etc.
Trump, a political neophyte, burst on the scene as a spoiler with his own unique brand of candor, which was in fact, believable, despite his longstanding reputation for questionable business ethics. Once elected, Trump moved quickly to accomplish his stated goals and by any fair and reasonable accounting, accomplished many of them.
These are the cliff notes on President Trump’s successes:
Secured the Border
Bolstered the Military
Lowered Taxes
Organized “Operation Warp Speed" which brought Covid vaccines to fruition in record time.
On the Foreign policy front, President Trump moved the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem. Something that five of his predecessors had promised but lacked the political courage to do, hence treating America’s Most Trusted and Always Ally, Israel, like its illegitimate stepchild.
The Abraham Accords was a stunning and hopefully lasting formal Peace Agreement between Israel and two former enemies. The Abraham Accords ripped the psychotic Palestinian centrality from the Arab-Israel narrative and has already created multibillion-dollar commercial relationships for travel and cultural exchange between Israel and her former enemies.
Unfortunately, Donald Trump has become a sad caricature of himself. His obsession with the results of the 2020 election has created a singular fixation with proving that the election was stolen. Whether true or not, there is an essential component of Human Nature that yearns to move on and look to the future. Tragically, Donald Trump has no understanding of that reality.
The former President, despite living in the lapse of luxury at Beautiful Mar-a-Lago, is living in exile. For someone who has always taken a bold and brash approach to business and politics, he is now engaged in tactics that have become his signature cliche. In 2016, he used insults rhetorically along with reductive names, phrases, etc, to delegitimize the illegitimate career politician. With his recent rantings of Florida Gov. Ron “DeSantimonius”, and Virginia Gov. Youngkin"Sounds Chinese, doesn’t it?”, etc, he has taken two bright stars on the Republican electoral firmament and attempted to frame them in the same manner as he did his ineffective 2016 competitors.
Sorry, Mr.President that is a losing strategy. You would be well advised to graduate from King to Kingmaker and take pride in the fact that you had much to do with bringing a new and very talented generation of Republican Leaders to the forefront.
I think that it is time for you to enjoy the Sunset at Mar-a-Lago… You will never be President again.

Agreed, time to move on from both current and past President’s. Well done. I worked with hotel developers most of my career and most all have the same traits, incredibly charming to unbelievably cruel.
Thoughtful and insightful...I concur
