THE FETTERMAN EFFECT/ U.S. SENATE TAKES ON THE SANADNISTA LOOK JUST AS THE LEFT WANTS
Vol. II | Issue. 188 | September 21, 2023
Should dirty sweatshirts really be the new look of the U.S. Senate?
The United States Senate has long been referred to as "The World's Greatest Deliberative Body." While the specific origins of that moniker are hard to trace, the expressed and implied meanings of that description are both complex and simple. Some part of that description can be found in a cartoon meant to mock the Senate during the New Deal Period, highlighting the passing of a New Deal law published by a conservative newspaper. Naturally, when there was an actual Press Corps in America during the pre-American Pravda days, Senators, the Senate, and politicians of all stripes were the subject of derision, criticism, and often scorn. However, the Senate, unlike some individual Senators, was always an institution with traditions and public-facing aspirations of excellence. Even with the full understanding that our leaders are often not up to the job to which they have been elected, tradition plays a powerful role in determining how elected leaders perform on the job, how they comport themselves, and, very importantly, what they look like when they are in the case at hand on the Senate Floor.
The Left works full-time to destroy tradition in their quest to tear down any and all vestiges of the system that they hate and are seeking to destroy. The long-term strategic mission of the Left in America is to destroy our Constitutional Republic and replace it with a Marxist brand of one-party rule, regardless of what they choose to call it, and this will destroy our freedom. The strategic methodology of the Left began decades ago in the Ivy League classrooms of America when the Eastern Elite began teaching its academic minions the evils of capitalism and the virtues of the Soviet and later the Chinese and Cuban "experiments." The process of American delegitimization began with the academic inculcation and delegitimization of our country in the academic realm and today has permeated every corner of American life and society.
Now to The Fetterman Effect... Our institutions, traditions, and physical manifestations through our national monuments and major gatherings collectively comprise an important cornerstone and uplifting symbolism of America's strength, purpose, and solidity. Young children taking their first trip to our Nation's Capital on a school trip have historically looked in awe at the White House, Capitol, National Mall, and the entire panoply of our majestic Federal buildings and monuments. In many instances, young children, families, and all Americans who are fortunate enough to see their government in action, whether through the Senate Gallery, a White House tour, or catching a glimpse of the Senate in session will stand in awe for a short period and will hold all cynicism regarding their country in abeyance.
On September 19th, 2023, Majority Leader Chuck Schumer announced that the Senate Sergeant at Arms would no longer be enforcing any Dress Code on the Senate Floor, effectively creating a "come as you are" environment. The Schumer Order has, in essence, dismantled the tradition of formality, i.e., the Suit and Tie dress code for men and its similar counterparts for women. Schumer's directive, in destroying the long-standing Senate tradition of business formality in its dress code, was ostensibly designed to accommodate the disgusting and disrespectful fashion predilections of Senator John Fetterman. Fetterman, a manifest disgrace to the office to which he was elected with the aid and comfort of the American Pravda's foot on the scale during the election, is the character from central casting whom the Left has been waiting for.
Thus far, even the most radically Left of the Left Senators have shown some deference and respect for the traditional Senate Dress Code. Even those (and there are many) of the Democrat Senators who have contempt for America wouldn't have stepped over that line. But in Fetterman, Schumer found his man.
As time goes on, and it won't take long, the Fetterman Effect will begin to take effect and become widespread. When it does, the floor of the U.S. Senate will begin to look like those images of Daniel Ortega's Nicaragua, where every member of government looks like terrorists Fidel Castro, Che Guevara, Yassir Arafat, or just another disheveled bum off the street doing the business of a corrupt Leftist government.
The erosion of tradition and the destruction of our national symbols have already had a profound impact on America's national psyche. The destruction and removal of statues, symbols of our national heroes, desecration of the flag, and gutting of traditions such as a dress code on the Senate Floor are designed to rob America of its dignity and national identity.
The hackneyed refrain from the Left and their fellow travelers is always "We have a lot more to worry about than what a Senator is wearing on the Senate Floor." That dumb response falls into the category of truism and is meaningless. Naturally, we do have other pressing concerns. But the destruction of tradition and professionally dignified appearance is a precursor to the devolution and diminution of institutional dignity, and respect, which will ultimately redound to a hugely negative substantive impact on the Senate and every institution it touches.
How do I know? Because some truths are self-evident.
The Fetterman Effect, i.e., flip flops and a dirty hoodie in the Senate Chamber, will make the Senate look less like the World's Greatest Deliberative Body and more like a reunion hall for Castro, Guevara, Arafat, and Ortega. That's what the destruction of tradition looks like.
The Left knows that when they destroy our traditions, they are one step closer to destroying America. I can assure you that The Fetterman Effect is no small thing…
